IFTTT

Overview

The MoreTrees IFTTT integration allows you to integrate MoreTrees with your other apps and software to automatically plant trees for yourself and others.

Before you begin

Before creating an IFTTT integration, you must:

1. Create and set-up a More Trees account
2. Pre-load your account with tree planting credits

Setting up

1. Create a free IFTTT account
2. Log into More Trees and use the main menu to navigate to Trees > Plant trees > Integrate > IFTTT
3. Click Connect your account to be taken to IFTTT
4. On the IFTTT More Trees page, click Connect
5. Review the permissions on the pop-up page and click Allow
6. On the More Trees IFTTT page, click Create
7. Create the “If this” action by clicking Add and searching for the application you want to automate with (e.g. Trello) – if you haven’t done so already you will be prompted to connect this application to IFTTT
8. Follow the on-screen instructions for creating the action and, once complete, click Create trigger
9. Create the “Then that” action by clocking Add and searching for More Trees
10. Select whether you want to plant for yourself or plant for someone else
11. If selecting to plant for someone else, either enter their details or click Add ingredient to tell IFTTT where to pull this information from
12. Click Create action and then Continue
13. Choose whether you want to be notified when the automation happens, and then click Finish

Note, that when automating via More Trees it’s useful to set up auto top-up so your balance of eco credits never runs out.
